Indian vegetarian family restaurant chain Vithal Kamats Original Family Restaurant has recently expanded its presence in Mumbai by launching its third ‘khao jao’ restaurant in the city. Located in Goregaon, it is the 24th Vithal Kamats restaurant in India.
The outlet in Goregaon, like all other khao jao restaurants, follows the self-service concept in which the order is placed on the counter and the food is served in minutes. The restaurant has a clearly demarcated space, with a few seats, for families that may want to linger around for more lengthy orders.
Besides serving a multi-cuisine menu, the restaurant takes orders for social occasions, birthdays and outdoor catering.
Vithal Kamats Original Family Restaurant has three models – family dining (present at high traffic streets of a city and highways and serving locals as well as travellers), khao jao (the self-service restaurant present at high traffic streets of a city and serving locals) and kiosks (specially designed for areas with space constraint like railway stations).
