Emami forays into hair colour segment

Kolkata based, Indian FMCG, Emami, has extended its haircare portfolio by launching cream-based and powder-based hair colours. The firm has priced its ‘Hair Life’ brand of hair colours at the mass level. It plans to launch the products nationwide in phases. The intensely-competitive hair colour market in India is estimated at around Rs10 billion. Emami manufactures brands such as ‘Fair and Handsome’, ‘Navratna Oil’, ‘Boroplus’ and ‘Sonachandi Chyawanprash’.
