Amway looks at options to set up an India plant

As reported in ibob newsletter last month, following its business expansion plans in India, Amway is now looking to start its first manufacturing plant in India. Increase in production capacity is one of the prime focus areas for the brand. Amway has already tripled its production capacity at its leading vendor facility at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh by commissioning four new production lines. William S.Pinckney, Managing Director and CEO, Amway, is planning to set up a consultant team to examine its options of setting up the India unit.

Amway is best known for its wellness brands – Nutralite Protein Powder and Nutralite Daily. The brand is also planning to launch new products under its Nutralite umbrella to achieve its projected growth.
