First PVR Entertainment City to come up in Noida

Taking a step forward in becoming an integrated entertainment company, PVR Ltd has announced the launch of its latest venture – PVR Entertainment City. Besides housing multiplexes, the Entertainment City will have a food court, a bowling alley and an ice-skating ring, among other things.

The first PVR Entertainment City will come up at the yet-to-be-operational 1.2 million sq.ft Logix City Center in Noida. Spread over an area of 150,000 sq.ft across two floors of the shopping centre, the Entertainment City will house a 15-screen state-of-the-art multiplex with four gold class theatres, a 24-28 lane bowling alley, an ice-skating ring and food courts. It will be thrown open to public within 30 months from now.

Ajay Bijli, chairman and managing director, PVR Ltd, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of the first-ever PVR Entertainment City in India. The City will be a mecca of entertainment in the NCR region as we will house all our formats under one roof. This is a huge step forward for us to realise the dream of becoming an integrated entertainment company.”

Over the next three years, the company plans to introduce its ‘Entertainment City’ format to other cities including Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Pune.

PVR currently operates a cinema circuit consisting of 136 screens spread over 18 key cities in India.
