Relaxo Retail, a division of Relaxo Footwears, has recently crossed the 100-store-mark by opening its 101st store at Haldwani (Uttarakhand). The 100th store was opened in Delhi on April 27.
Relaxo Retail now boasts of 101 fully integrated stores, spread on a retail area of over 89,350 sq.ft in several states – Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi/NCR, Uttarakhand and Gujarat.
“There has seen a significant rise in footfalls and profitability across Relaxo Retail Shoppe in the last few years. We are looking forward to cross the 125-store-mark by the end of the ongoing fiscal. We will continue to look out for retail space across the country, especially in tier II and III cities,” said Kewal Dhar, retail head, Relaxo Retail.
Relaxo Footwears started its journey from Shahzada Bagh, Delhi in 1976 and became a listed company in 1995. In 2008, it emerged as the largest footwear producer in India with a capacity of three lakh pair production per day.
The company has a vision to achieve Rs 1,000 crore annual turnover by the end of FY 2011-12.
