Must Read

Ethos Swiss Watch Studios, one of the largest chains of Swiss watch stores across the country, has inaugurated its store at Mumbai domestic airport, Terminal 1-C. A significant player in luxury watch retail in India, Ethos forayed into Airport Travel Retail in 2008 with a store at the spanking new Bengaluru International Airport, Departures. The store became part of India’s first truly modern airport retail outlet. Since then, more airport stores have followed. In October 2009, Ethos opened a watch store at Terminal 1, Departures, New Delhi, followed by its duty-free store at International Departures, New Delhi Airport. The new Mumbai store measures 34.2 sq.m.

Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Yashovardhan Saboo, CEO, Ethos Swiss Watch Studios, said, “Though its roots are still based in Chandigarh, Ethos has a larger concentration of exclusive and multi-brand outlets in major metros. With 22 outlets across India, five stores in Mumbai and several in Delhi (including the Delhi airport’s domestic terminal), Ethos has been growing at 30 per cent a year with four-to-five stores every fiscal.”

Going ahead, the company plans to open five to six more outlets this year, with one store in Hyderabad lined up for opening this month. Outlets at the New Delhi international airport (duty-free) terminal and another in DLF Promenade Mall will also come up this year. Ethos plans to reach the Rs 105-crore mark by the end of FY 2010-11.
