World Retail Congress ’10 dates announced

Must Read

Postponed due to volcanic ash, which disrupted air travel in the region, the annual retail meet – World Retail Congress 2010 – will now convene on October 25-27 in Berlin.

The Congress, organised by Emap Communications, in association with key sponsors, Deloitte, MasterCard and Oracle is set to take place at the InterContinental Hotel. The organisers are currently liaising with more than 140 industry experts who were set to speak and expect most to confirm their participation for the newly announced dates. While veterans such as Michael Gould, chairman and CEO, Bloomingdale’s; Heinz Krogner, chairman, Esprit and Mindy Grossman, CEO, HSN, Inc, are already confirmed, the full line up of speakers and newly revised programme will be announced in the coming months.

World Retail Awards and Gala Dinner will now take place at The German Historic Museum on the evening of October 26. The exclusive World Retail Hall of Fame will be held at the Berlin Ritz Carlton on the evening of October 25, with The Study Tour bringing the 2010 Congress to a close on the afternoon of October 28.

The World Retail Congress is the only truly international meeting of the global retail industry, with leading figures from across the sector drawn together to resolve the most crucial global issues.
