Celebration Mall to open in Q4 2010

CapitaMalls Asia Limited and Advance India Projects Limited (AIPL) announced today that they plan to open The Celebration Mall, Udaipur, in the last quarter of 2010. All structural work of The Celebration Mall has been completed and final architectural detailing is in progress. An unveiling event will be organised in the evening for local retailers who have been long anticipating the opening of Udaipur’s first mall.

The Celebration Mall will be the city’s first shopping mall, which will have around 3,90,000 square feet of super built-up area across seven floors. The mall will have144 retail units including a multi-screen theatre, gaming arcade, fine dining restaurants, cafes, food kiosks, department stores and a food court. There will be 302 parking lots over two basement levels. The mall has been designed by Nimish Patel and Parul Zaveri from Panika of The Oberoi Udaivilas fame.

Kevin Chee, country head, India, CapitaMalls Asia says, “CapitaMalls Asia is committed to grow its presence in India. We are looking forward to the completion of our first joint project with AIPL in India. The Celebration Mall Udaipur will be our second operational mall in the country after Forum Value Mall, Bengaluru. We currently have a total of nine retail projects in India and look forward to opening the remaining seven malls over the next few years.”
