Da Milano opens its first exclusive store at Mumbai airport

Da Milano, the premium brand of leather accessories opened its first exclusive store at the Mumbai domestic airport at terminal 1B. The store spread over an area of 200 square feet houses Da Milano’s range of premium leather accessories for both men and women. At present this new outlet has an impeccable collection of ladies handbags, men’s bags, briefcases, portfolio & computer bags, wallets, belts, small accessories and luggage.

As part of its retail expansion plans, Da Milano is targeting retailing at key airports across India. This would include both duty free shops at international airports as well as domestic airport retail spaces.

Speaking on the launch and the brand’s expansion strategy, Sahil Malik, managing director, Da Milano says, “India’s retail landscape is evolving rapidly and airport retail seems to be an ideal destination for a brand like ours. Our brand is committed to extending its presence at key airports across India thereby reaching out to the well heeled traveler who is looking for premium products in such retail environments.”

In India, Da Milano has established 17 company-owned exclusive stores spanning Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Noida. The company has an aggressive roadmap for expansion and plans to open more exclusive stores in Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Ludhiana and Hyderabad thereby extending its footprint to a total of 30 exclusive stores by the end of 2010. With Da Milano’s first retail outlet at the Mumbai airport, now operational, the brand plans to open more such retail outlets at the domestic and international terminals in Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
