Chhabra 555 to open five new stores by Dec’09

Ethnic apparel major Chhabra 555 has planned to open five new stores this year. The stores will be opened in the cities in which the company is already operational, informed a top company official.

Jagdeep Chhabra, director, Chhabra 555, says, “We want to open five more stores by December 2009 to touch 35 stores mark by the end of this year.” However, he did not share further details about the investment plan for the proposed expansion and the specific locations in which the stores will be opened. “We have not decided the exact locations yet, but the stores will be opened in the cities in which we are already present,” informs Chhabra.

The company has also announced a discount offer of up to 50 per cent off in prices against every putchase across all its stores in India. Scheduled to be started on July 17, 2009, the programme also entitles offering one saree free to the first 500 walk-ins. “We have taken the decision to offer sale because of the continuous demand from our customers’ side. With this offer, we are not only giving them discount against the purchage of our ptoducts, but also offering them some fabulous gifts,” Chhabra elaborates.

Chhabra 555 retails ethnic products especially for women including sarees, lehengas, suit dupatta and bridal wear and is currently operational with 30 stores across Delhi and NCR, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Raipur, Bhatinda, Panchkula, Meerut, Patiala and Panipat.
