Numero Uno to open 50 new outlets

Denim-wear maker Numero Uno is expanding its presence pan India to tap new markets. The company plans to add about 50 new exclusive brand outlets to its existing network of 117 stores this fiscal. The new stores, based on the franchise model, will catalyse an investment of around Rs 12.5 crore. Out of the 50 planned stores, about 10-12 stores will be located in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and J&K.

“At present we have 35 exclusive brand outlets in north and plan to open about 12 more this year,” said Vijay Gandhi, business head, retail, Numero Uno clothing. “We enjoy a market share of 20-25 per cent in denim wear in the north. We are targeting tier II and III cities as well for our new EBOs.”
