Following the success of its test launch, The Loot, one of India’s leading multi-brand retail chains, has opened its biggest store at Metro Junction mall in Kalyan, outside Mumbai. The newly launched store spreads over 20,000 square feet retail space and retails over 100 national and international premium brands including Nike, CAT, ID, Spykar, Puma, Reebok, Fila, Switcher, Lotto, Crocs, Tuscan Verve, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Arrow, Parx, Park Avenue, Colours, Blackberrys, Rifle, Ragz Jeans and Blue Mount.

Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Jay Gupta, MD, The Loot, said, “Brands that are doing very well at Loot include Puma, Red Tape, Louis Philippe and Reebok. But more than looking for particular brands, the consumers watch out for the discount percentages here. The categories that have picked up lately are formals for men and casuals for both men and women. We have launched the kid’s wear section as well but the response has been luke warm so far.”

Elaborating the concept of the store, Gupta further added, “Our target is the mass market, specially the college kids who want to wear good brands but cannot afford to spend so much money. We offer 25 percent discount round the year. We make our money from the brands through bulk purchase and let the consumers enjoy good bargains.”

The Loot, one of India’s leading multi-brand retail chains, currently operates 96 stores across India. The newly launched single level Loot store aims to provide customers complete satisfaction as far as value for money and quality shopping ambience is concerned.

“We have Gulshan Grover as the face of our Ad campaigns since he captures the essence of The Loot. He can be perceived as Robin Hood,” concluded Gupta.
