Donear, the flagship apparel brand of Mumbai-based textile major Donear Industries Ltd, is planning to open around 200 speciality retail stores for wrinkle-free cotton in the country by the end of this year, reports ET.

“These stores will come up in high-end street shops and large format retail stores in metros and tire II cities. In the first phase, around 40 stores, having an area of 600-1500 square feet, will be opened by August 2009,” quoted Rajendra Agarwal, managing director, Donear, in the report.

The stores will retail lifestyle brands including Madura Garment’s Allen Solly, Peter England, Van Heusen, Byford, Louis Philippe, Raymond’s Color Plus, Nirmal Lifestyle and Black Berry, he added in the report.

Donear primarily caters to the middle and the premium segments in both menswear and womenswear category. This would be its second retail venture after successfully launching 148 D’Cot stylewear stores across the country three years ago.
