    HUL declares Q3 results; announces new CFO

    FMCG major has posted a net profit of Rs 6157.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 6314.40 million for the corresponding figure of 2007.

    For the financial year ended March 31, the company's PAT on a standalone basis was up 8.53 per cent at Rs 4,490 crore

    Total income has increased from Rs 37894.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 to Rs 43786.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, said the company in a disclosure to Bombay .

    Meanwhile, the vice chairman and CFO of the Mumbai-based company has also decided to retire from his current portfolio as well as the board of the company. His retirement will take place in July 2009, said a company press release.

    Speaking on Sundaram’s retirement, , chairman, HUL, informed that R Sridhar will succeed as the new CFO of the company.

    Sridhar is currently serving as vice president, finance and controller, Unilever, for Asia, Africa and Central & Eastern Europe.
