IFF ’09 to explore success mantra of fashion retail

Consumer demands continue to be stronger. With fashion industry at the point of inflection, the industry needs to continuously explore new opportunities to create new brands, build new categories and come up with fresh ideas that can increase consumer spending on fashion. With real estate input prices falling, Indian Fashion Forum 2009 (IFF ’09) will be the ideal platform to brainstorm and develop a collaborative platform that can help every stakeholder in the industry to take advantage of the value creation. Lined up to be held on January 27-28 in Mumbai with the theme ‘Get the Power’, the event will be chaired by Gautam Hari Singhania, CMD, Raymond Limited.

In the two day event, more than 200 industry tycoons will be participating. The first day will have sessions full of fashion voices of India, where outstanding achievers of Indian and global fashion industry will take IFF centre stage sharing vibrant thoughts, experiences, concerns and hope including their strategies for growth. Fashioning the spirit of Indian enterprise, India, the big hope for the world, will be other topics to be discussed.

Day 1 will also see the preview of Triumph 2009 Collection at ‘Pavilion De Triumph’ and the India – Sri Lanka session will bring in leaders representing all major textile, apparel and retail trade bodies of both countries to talk about partnership possibilities in developing mutually beneficial projects.

The Grand Finale of IFF will be the Decision Making Session involving fashion brands, retailers and shopping centre developers. ‘’It’s time to ACT!’’ Consumer Aspirations and Awareness, New Occasions for Purchases, and Availability of Quality and Viable Retail Space will be top of the agenda.

With various sub-events under the umbrella of IFF, the event culminates in the IMAGES Fashion Awards – one of the most glamorous fashion award extravaganzas in the world.
