Safexpress introduces Stock2Shelf service

India’s leading logistic company, Safexpress has rolled out first of its kind service —Stock2Shelf, to provide value added supply chain services to the shopping malls across the country. The end-to-end service will enable retail stores inside malls to address the supply chain management requirements, especially during all national holidays when malls experience heavy footprint, according to a company official.

Commenting on the development,Vineet Kanaujia, general manager – marketing, Safexpress said, “Retail is the largest vertical for Safexpress and contributes to one-fifth of the total business of the company. We have introduced this unique and innovative service to enable the store managers to operate efficiently. It will also allow these retails stores owners of malls to serve their customers with a wider variety of goods.”

Stock2Shelf service would offer comprehensive mall supply chain services, inclusive of movement of retail and lifestyle goods, inspection and estimation, professional packaging, security clearance, storage and destination delivery, unpacking and reassembling/setting of retail goods, and finally reverse logistics.

As mode of operation, dedicated trucks will serve the retail stores inside malls. The delivery crew for this service would be handpicked and provided with training to handle the specific requirements.

The service has been launched on a pilot basis for all the malls in Gurgaon including Ambience mall, DLF City Centre, Gurgaon Central, MGF Mega City, MGF Metropolitan, Mega Mall, Sahara Mall and DLF Grand Mall. Safexpress plans to gradually extend the footprint of this service across the country. This service will be a major focus area for Safexpress for the year 2009.
