In an effort to go pan-India, the movie retail arm of Mumbai-based Excel Productions Audio Visuals — Movies and More — plans to open 40 outlets across the country in next one year, reports IndianTelevision.com.
“With 10 Movies and More outlets in Mumbai, we are planning to expand our footprint by setting up 40 outlets across the country by 2009. As part of the plan, we are targeting metros like Delhi, Banglore, Kolkata and Chennai.” quoted MN Kapasi, managing director, Excel Group, in the report.
“We are also planning to sell home videos of Indian films in overseas markets and are in talks with local content providers in the respective markets,” added Kapasi.
Meanwhile, in another development, Excel Home Videos, the home video division of the Group, has roped in Roby Abraham as chief executive officer, who was earlier the marketing manager at Megastar Home Entertainment, Dubai.
