Samsung leads colour monitor market in India

Digital technology major, Samsung India has emerged at the top slot in the colour monitor market in India of the year 2008, as per the recent IDC data released for Q3. Further, the company also leads the CDT and the LCD monitor segments, the data suggests.

As per the latest data for Q3, in open market segment of LCD monitors, Samsung registers 25.1 per cent volume market share, while in the case of CDT monitors, it captures 22.3 per cent volume market share. Meanwhile, Samsung also enjoys 16 per cent global market share in LCD monitors, claims the recent IDC data.

“Our differentiated product line up, coupled with our efforts to expand our reach in the Indian market this year, have helped us retain our dominance in the Indian market,” stated Ranjit Yadav, director-IT, Samsung India Electronics.
