Fortune Brands, the US-based manufacturer and retailer engaged in consumer products through its subsidiary Moen Inc, with one store in Delhil, plans to expand its flagship store to all metros and tier II and III cities across India. As part of the plan, the company will set up around 75 outlets by 2012-13 across the country, according to a top company official.
David Lingafelter, president, Moen Inc, said, “We will open around 40 outlets in our first year of operation and the number will be carried to 75 over the next four-five years.”
“With strong presence in the US market, we plan to grow in India in the same way and expand our presence in India through multi-brand outlets and exclusive faucet boutiques. In our first phase of expansion, we will cover cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Hyderabad and Pune,” added Lingafelter.
