With an aim to enter India under franchisee agreement, Europe’s technology major LAVA Electronics AB is in talks with real estate firms including Ansal API, Omaxe and Parsvnath, said a top company official.

Commenting on company’s plans for the Indian foray, Christian Svantesson, managing director, LAVA Electronics said, “We are aggressively looking for a suitable franchise partner and aim to enter India by the third quarter of 2009.’’

The LCD television maker, which gets 60 per cent of its revenues from the B2B segment, is planning to sell its products to large hotel chains. “The company will have exclusive outlets to cater to consumers directly but five-star hotels would continue to remain its focus area” added Svantesson.
