We will have robust Q3 figures: CEO, PVR

Comedy shows and movies are not much affected by the economic slowdown, feels Gautam Dutta. In an interview with Indiaretailing, the CEO of PVR, country’s leading entertainment chain of multiplexes, said that the point has been globally proved, but the industry need to be cautious to avoid any further decline caused out of the ongoing economic slowdown.

Putting his perspective about the consumers today, Dutta commented that the consumers are very choosy and to work with this, innovation in the product-line have to be designed to retain the consumer interest in the productto balance out the negative perceptions conceived rightly or wrongly by the consumers.

Further, about the poor Q2 results of PVR, Dutta emphasised that a healthy content is what the entertainment chain like PVR requires to post better financial results. Terming the recent release of Fashion as one of the best in recent times, Dutta added that with other blockbustors including Bond starrer Quantum of Solace, the entertainment major will have robust Q3 figures.
