Must Read

Giving a helping hand to encourage emerging talents in the fashion industry, Westside, the retailing arm of Tata, has announced its plan to groom budding fashion designers under its recently launched Designer Development Programme (DDP).

Under DDP, young designers will be able to work with renowned fashion retailers.

In the first phase of this program, Westside has selected Vivek Kumar and Vivek Karunakaran from the 2007 season of Lakme Fashion Week’s (LFW) Emerging Designers category.

Reports suggest that Westside will select more designers from LFW Season II. The parameters for selection will include creativity, technical knowledge of garments and textiles, and ability to adapt to mass fashion retailing.
