Reliance launches 15th retail format

The Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd’s (RIL) subsidiary Reliance Retail has launched the first store of its 15th format of specialty stores under the brand ‘Reliance Home Kitchens’ at Indira Nagar area in Bengaluru.

Spread across an area of around 3,700 square feet, the store offers a wide range of kitchen solutions and kitchen designs including faucets, sinks, hobs and chimneys. Through these stores, Reliance Home Kitchens will sell its private labels under the brand name ‘Elegant Kitchen’ and has also tied up with leading international players to house their brands.

Speaking to media at the launch, Raghu Pillai, president and chief executive officer – operations and strategy, Reliance Retail, said, “Growing urban prosperity and double income households are making the functionality and aesthetics of the kitchen far more important to Indian families. The kitchen is no longer out of sight and it needs to be as modern as our customer’s lifestyle. Hence, keeping in line with the Reliance philosophy of bringing a better lifestyle to the Indian customer at affordable pricing, ‘Reliance Home Kitchens’ has introduced ‘Elegant Kitchens’.”

The store offers an array of choices and colours in product categories from marine ply, MDF or solid wood or shutters made from thermofoils and high gloss polyurethanes with a starting price of Rs.39,999. The store also offers services including financing with monthly instalments, free maintenance for one year, membership and loyalty program, and a toll free dedicated customer service help line.

The other formats of RRL include Reliance Autozone, Delight, Reliance Digital, Reliance Footprint, Reliance Fresh, iStore, Reliance Mart, Sahkari Bhandar, Reliance Super, Reliance TimeOut, Reliance Trends, Vimal, Reliance Wellness and Living Homeware.
