Tata Ceramics launches retail ops

Tata Ceramics Ltd. the manufacturer of fine bonechina crockery for world famous brands of Europe and USA, has now entered the retail business in India. The company had recently inaugurated three exclusive brand outlets at Bibvewadi, Narayan Peth and Kothrud in Pune.

Munish Gupta, managing director, Tata Ceramics, said, “With the change in lifestyle of people and the young generation adopting a global culture, we believe that now is the most opportune time to launch our fine bonechina table-ware products in the domestic market.”

Tata Ceramics has appointed Pune-based G V Puntambekar & Sons Pvt Ltd as their distributor for Maharashtra and Goa. Ramesh Puntambekar, MD, said: “We are very happy with this association and take pride in having strengthened our ties with Tata Group and to effectively contribute in the Tata Ceramics business plan for the retail market as well as the hospitality trade.”

“We wish to expand this chain of outlets in Pune by appointing franchisees across Aundh, Kalyani Nagar, Camp, Wanowrie and PCMC areas,” Puntambekar added.

Apart from setting up the retail chain in Pune, the company will simultaneously work on setting up outlets in cities including Aurangabad, Nashik, Kolhapur, Solapur, Mahableshwar and Goa.
