Estée Lauder, the global leader in skin care, cosmetics, perfume and hair care products, has opened a new luxury boutique in Bengaluru’s swank luxury mall UB City. This is the second Indian boutique from the beauty giant, which opened its first freestanding store in the country in Mumbai last June.

Spread over 4,500 sq feet, the exclusive boutique showcases an array of luxury beauty care products including skin solutions, lipsticks, eye make-up, nail colours and fragrances. There is also the high-end skincare line Re-Nutriv, lauded as the flagship product of Estée Lauder. The price range of Estée Lauder begins at Rs 800.

Speaking on the occasion, Sonia Michon-Floc’hlay, vice president and regional brand director of Estée Lauder said, “The city of Bengaluru has the ideal characteristics of an emerging market: A cosmopolitan environment, a broad base of customers with a desire for high-end luxury products and above all, a booming retail scenario. This worked as an encouraging factor behind choosing Bengaluru as our next destination”.

The company is now drafting aggressive expansion plans, which will the see opening of a boutique in Delhi in November, to be followed by similar stores in Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata. In each store, customers will be provided special services such as free skincare consultations and free ‘2 minute touch ups’. There will also be special services such as free engraving on buying gift products.

Inc. currently has a presence in 135 countries and territories worldwide. Beside its own signature Estée Lauder brand, the company also controls and markets several other designer brands such as M.A.C, Sean John, , and Bobbi Brown. According to Michon-Floc’hlay, the boutique in Bengaluru will currently sell only Estée Lauder products, though launch of other designer brands is also in the pipeline. However, the company will always follow its signature exclusive outlet retail format and will focus on sale through freestanding stores, she added.
