M&S Reliance starts filling top key positions

Marks and Spencer Reliance India Ltd, the joint venture company between India’s Reliance Retail and UK’s Marks & Spencer, has started appointing personnel for its key management positions.

Confirming this, Mark Ashman, chief executive officer, Marks and Spencer Reliance India Ltd, said: “We have already filled the positions of chief financial officer, heads of human resources, buying and retail. We are looking out for a local person to head our marketing team.”

Jatin Luthra has been appointed as the chief financial officer, and two experts from M&S’s global team, Adam Colton and Spencer Sheen, will be heading buying and retail portfolios, respectively. Shalini Naggar will be the HR head.

The company plans to invest around 29 million pounds (about Rs 230 crore) to set up around 50 stores over the next five years.
