Oxigen Services Pvt. Ltd, a payment service provider accessible through mobile and PC, is looking to tie up with organised retailers to provide an easy payment option for their consumers.

Speaking to Indiaretailing, Pramod Saxena, founder chairman and MD, Oxigen, said: “Presently, our retail partners are primarily the neighbourhood stores, but we are also in talks with corporate retail companies.”

According to the company, retailers associating with them can provide their customers the option to pay for commodities from anywhere in the world. “To be our clients, a retailer needs to register himself through our website and pay a minimal registration fee,” Saxena informed.

Speaking about the organised retail sector in India, Saxena said, “Organised retail in this country is growing, and so is the competition. Hence, retailers will need many more customised services to attract more consumers. We are an option that they can use.”

Established in 2003, the company is a joint venture between an Indian company and a South African company, and provides services including mobile recharges, television card top-ups, airline tickets, and service bills. It will soon launch railway tickets (unreserved) booking facility through its mobile wallet.
