Dolphin Mart to set up 19 stores in 2008-09

Dolphin Mart, the home decorative retailer, has planned to expand its ‘d’mart Exclusif’ brand by opening around 19 outlets by the end of current financial year.

Confirming this, K V Rao, chairman, Dolphin Mart said: “We want to fill up the vacuum in luxury decorative items segment. Our target section is the growing middle class population who has a taste for foreign sourced items.”

Besides launching six exclusive boutique and three megastores, the company has planned to open around 10 franchisee outlets. “The 10 new franchisee showrooms will cover the cities Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Lucknow and Hyderabad where we do not have any presence now,” said Rao.

The company is expecting its turnover to grow by 125 per cent to Rs 50 crore in the current fiscal.
