Must Read

The UK-India Business Council (UKIBC), a leading organisation supporting the promotion of bilateral business and investment opportunities between the countries, will focus on promoting trade in new areas including retail.

Speaking to media, Sharon Bamford, chief executive, UKIBC, said: “There are growing opportunities in the Indian retail sector as multinational companies are entering in a big way. UKIBC will seek to play an influential role in creating and sustaining an environment in which free trade and investment flourishes.”

Bamford further said, “UKIBC will be the first ‘point of reference’ for any UK company looking for trade or investment in India, and vice versa.”

Launched in September last year, UKIBC provides knowledge and infrastructural support to UK companies for making business initiatives in India and vice versa.
