Coffee Cooperative Society to enter retail

Must Read

Bengaluru-based Coffee Cooperative Society, formed by about three hundred coffee growers from Arehally village, is planning to set up a retail outlet to sell their brand Copsy Coffee.

“We have been successful in selling our coffee directly to consumers in Bengaluru, Mysore and Hassan. Last year, we sold around 10 tonnes of coffee. We have now created a brand to sell through our own outlets,” KM Rajegowda, president, Coffee Cooperative Society, said in an issued statement.

The society has already occupied space at Prabhat Complex on Kempe Gowda Road to set up their first outlet.

The society plans to expand to other towns and cities in Karnataka, and achieve 50 per cent sales in the domestic market.

The society is also awaiting clearance to sell cardamom, pepper and ginger at the outlets.
