Lilliput set to establish base in China

Lilliput has entered into a joint venture with Shenzhen New World Development Company for its retail venture in China. It will hold 60 per cent stake in the new joint venture, and will be known as Lilliput Kidswear China.

The company has even tied up with Bahrain-based Al-Fanar Investment and Holdings Company for its retail venture in the Middle East. The new joint venture company Al-Fanar SN Retail will be a 60:40 partnership, with Lilliput holding the 60 per cent stake. The Philippines and Egypt are next on the radar of the company. By March 2010 the company hopes to achieve about 18 per cent of its turnover from its international stores. They intend to have 100 stores in China and 25 in the Middle East by 2010.
