To cash in on the rising demand for high-end watches, Milleret, a Swiss-made jewellery watches brand, has opened shops in two PN Gadgil stores in Pune. The brand is set to expand its retail base in India through 35 shop-in-shops in jewellers’ outlets across the country by the end of this year.
“High-end gold and diamond studded watches were launched in Mumbai late last year, and are now available at 18 jewellery stores in Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, Coimbatore, Delhi, Bangalore, Surat, Goa and Pune,” said Vinod Joshi, director, Vee Line Jewels and Watches Pvt. Ltd.
The other cities on the cards are Ahmedabad, Baroda, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kolkata.
Milleret’s diamonds-set-in-gold watches range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh, with the limited edition Squeleton (Rs 2.75 lakh) proving the most popular among Indian buyers. The brand sold around 80 high-end watches last year and is expecting the demand to go up to 500 watches in a year’s time.
