The new appointment is coupled with a robust plan of action for the division. Under Mirchandani’s leadership, the group plans to have 30 stores operational within 3 years. The total retail area covered will be close to 2 million square feet and the reach will be across India.
Apart from retail expansion, Mirchandani will focus on furthering the loyalty programme, which runs under the brand name Piramyd Power Club. He will also work towards increasing the fashion quotient through private labels, which is expected to be one of the key challenges going forward.
Mirchandani moves to Piramyd Lifestyle Ltd from Madura Garments, where he worked as brand director and SBU head of Allen Solly. He has over 18 years of industry experience, having worked with Shoppers’ Stop as head of Private Label and Men’s division. He has also been instrumental in building the business of Provogue. Mirchandani’s efforts helped the company in growing its enterprise value multifold and set the basis for its IPO.
