Lock-out lifted by MTR Foods

After the 11 day stale-mate the management of MTR Foods, has lifted the lock-out at the Bommasandra factory. The workers returned to work unconditionally and also signed a letter of good conduct.

The unrest started after MTR Foods was taken over by Norwegian company Orkla Group in February 2007. The workers were demanding a raise in salary equal to the MNC standards. The labour problem was solved with the help of tripartite meeting between the management, the labour and the labour commissioner.
