The 350th Raymond Shop opens at Atria Mall in Mumbai

Raymond Ltd, India’s leading textile & apparel major, has launched the 350th store of The Raymond Shop (TRS) at Atria Mall in Worli, Mumbai. The 350th TRS was inaugurated by Gautam Hari Singhania, chairman & managing director, Raymond Ltd.

Embarking on the retail journey five decades ago, TRS is today the largest chain for fabric and garment retailing. As part of its retail expansion strategy, Raymond has envisaged the rollout of TRS and exclusive brand stores across the country. By 2010, Raymond will have a network of over 950 stores in the country, with over 2 million square feet of retail space. At the moment, the company is present in 170 cities across India and 27 stores across the Middle East and South Asia.

Singhania said on the occasion of the 350th launch, “It’s a proud achievement for all of us at Raymond. From the time we launched our first store in 1959, we have strived to provide our customers with an unmatched shopping experience. Every TRS today is more than just a store, it is an institution… a connection for our customers to the latest in fashion and style. Its friendly ambience and wide selection of apparel and textiles, continues to make it the preferred choice. Retail is intrinsic to our business and we continue to push aggressively on this front, touching the 950 store mark by 2010.”
