Home Town, the large-format store of Home Solutions Retail, a 100-per-cent subsidiary of Pantaloon Retail, will open today at Great India Place mall, Noida.
The 125,000-square-foot store will sell home furnishings, furniture, consumer durables and appliances, building materials and home services. In addition, the store will make available to consumers a range of related services, be it architect consultancy or a basic need like plumbing. On display will be demo kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and other home spaces.
With ‘ghar banana aasan’ as the tagline, the store will stock a substantial range of options and brands in each category. A private label, Dreamline, is in the pipeline and this will feature options for basic home necessities. Star endorsement will come from actor Hema Malini.
The company is planning to open seven Home Towns by year-end, in cities across the country including Bangalore, Pune and Thane. Store size will range from 125,000 to 200,000 square feet.
