All night surgeries at ASDA soon

Must Read

Asda is said to be the first retailer in UK to open out-of-hours GP surgeries in their stores. The company is talking with a number of primary care trusts (PCTs) about starting an emergency service, which some GPs provide between 6pm and 8am, when their practices are closed.

Sources have said that the Asda could launch the first service in a store within the next six months, although no plans have been finalized. The service would involve one GP being based in the store to attend to patients who are up to visiting and the other making house calls for people with more serious ailments.
