Must Read

After coffee and tea now Tata is said to be interested in the mineral water business. It is believed to have completed due diligence of Mount Everest Mineral Water, the company that owns Himalayan mineral water brand. Tatas are said to be eying small stake estimated to be valued around Rs 70 to 75 crore.

Experts believe that Tata wants to enter the health beverage market in the country. In 2006, the company bought 30 per cent stakes in Glaceau, one of the fastest growing health beverage company in US, for $677 million. This is not the first time that a company has been interested in buying stakes in Himalayan Water. Groupe Danone was wanted to acquire the brand in 2002.
